Katherine (Kathy) Martinez
Kathy is a seasoned healthcare administrator with over 27 years’ experience in managing healthcare facilities and operations. Known for contract negotiations, staff development, staff management and team building. She is committed to fostering a collaborative and patient-centered approach to healthcare administration, driving innovation and excellence in the field. She has a proven track record of optimizing efficiency and ensuring high-quality patient care.
Kathy is a native New Mexican, born and raised in Albuquerque. Her education includes a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine for which she studied for a time in Beijing China to achieve. She went back to school in the mid-2000’s and achieved a Master of Business Administration from Webster University, St Louis, Missouri.
Outside of her work at Dermatology of New Mexico, she also serves as Chairperson for Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute’s business advisory committee which overseas business program class curriculums, resources, and textbooks to make sure they are up to date and applicable to real life business needs and assures the business program meets and maintains accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission. A committee she is proud to be part of.
In her free time Kathy loves to travel, having visited over 26 countries. Observing and learning about diversities in cultures around the world from cuisine to religion is something she is very passionate about. She plans on continuing her journeys for many years to come.
